Context

To build the future “Smart-Factory” for its “BioContinuum” Project with quick and autonomous machinery setup, our team at Merck was tasked with developing a Proof of Concept of a zero-configuration software. This software would establish a dynamic network configuration between various smart machines, adhering to OPC Unified Architecture standards.

We installed the backend on the routers, enabling it to configure the network automatically each time an Ethernet cable was plugged in or unplugged. This was served to a dynamic interface to be manually overridden when necessary.

This work was done in tandem with a polish team, and all the meetings to place in English.
